With roots dating back to 1950 as freight bill auditors, SRC (the parent company of ShippersEdge) was formed in 1998 to provide logistics consulting to manufacturers & distributors.   Clients range from Fortune 100 to those with less than 10 employees. 

Our founder noticed early on that small & mid-size companies were at a big disadvantage over their larger competitors in terms of logistics technology.  It was either too expensive or too difficult to use.  That is what motivated him to develop ShippersEdge TMS. 

The first version released in 2002 and was one of the very first Web-based TMS systems available.  Over the years multiple versions have been developed.  Today a full range of services are offered.

ShippersEdge is based in Burnsville MN, which is in the Minneapolis metropolitan area.    The Twin Cities is a hotbed of logistics technology.

Our team is deep in logistics experience and has an average of 10+ years in the industry.  Many have actually worked in shipping or customer service, or even did deliveries.  We feel it is extremely important to understand  'the business.
